01 / The challenge

What the project needed to resolve

Fello was acquiring and advancing two redevelopment sites in Easton: Easton Crossing and Silo Court, introduced during planning as Silo Square. The developer needed a lead advisor who could connect the real estate transaction, project team, neighborhood, and development review process.

02 / The contribution

How the work addressed the question

Causeway served as the broker and lead advisor, then led community engagement and project coordination. We brought neighbors, the neighborhood association, and key local stakeholders together for several meetings to explain the proposals, answer questions, and discuss progress toward the necessary approvals. An initial engagement strategy provided the framework, while the work carried out was tailored to the projects and the conversations taking place.

03 / The deliverables

What the assignment produced

  • Commercial real estate brokerage and acquisition support
  • Lead development advisory and project coordination
  • Community engagement strategy and stakeholder outreach
  • Facilitated neighborhood meetings and project-review communication

04 / The next decision

What the work made clearer

The early conversations helped neighbors understand the proposals and gave the developer a direct way to respond to community questions before formal review. The projects received Planning Commission approval with limited community opposition, and commissioners recognized the value of the engagement effort.

The work connected community communication with the decisions needed to advance the sites. Both projects have moved into construction, with delivery ahead; the renderings show the planned developments rather than completed buildings.
